Summer League Update

So our Summer League Swimming starts tonight, however, we aren't planning to attend. Tonight will be the neighborhood Time Trials, so it's more like a exhibition that is used for 3 reasons:

1. So the new parents and learn how the meet goes and what is required with their volunteer positions.

2. For the coached to get an updated time on what the kids are swimming so they'll know what events to put the kids in.

3. To make a little extra consessions money for the team coffers

There are also a couple of reasons why we aren't attending. The biggest one is that the neighborhood pools is outside and unheated, and the kids (who when to 1 practice last week) reported the water is very cold, and when the sun goes down it's going to be too cold. Also the kids have a year round meet tomorrow, and they don't need to be up late swimming in cold water for a meet that isn't going to matter. Finally, we aren't going to participate because of Bailey's age group...it is going to be pretty intense and we'd rather have Bailey just swim for fun and this Time Trial is going to start the whole process of who belongs on the A relay.

I'll update how competitive Bailey's summer age group team will be later...
