Atlantic Coast Cup - Qualifying Round Draw

At the top of the page... Defending Champions - Wake Forest. Yes indeed. 56 teams in the draw this round. We get a home match against the Hattiesburg Rebels in the Atlantic Coast Amateur League (the league we just promoted from). We play in two weeks.

March 15th Friendly

We host the Pittsburgh Riverhounds from the NASL. We give up a goal early on, but get it back on a corner, Davidson to Pickering, header for a goal. We give up a goal late in the first half to drop behind 2-1. We make our subs in the 68th minute.

In the second half we give up two more goals, both of them due to allowing wingers to cut in from the outside too easily, so Coggins and Lacey take the blame for those. We get a second goal ourself, again on a set piece, corner taken by Fisher, poor clearance, and Rose is able to put it in.

Wake Forest 2 : 4 Pittsburgh

With that we are done with friendlies, Atlantic Coast Cup is in a week, and after that league play starts!
