NFL 1933 Real Life vs. NFL 1933 Replay

1933 Records, Replay record (Real Life record)

Eastern Division

1. Brooklyn Dodgers 7-2-1 (5-4-1)
2. Boston Redskins 9-3-0 (5-5-2)
3. New York Giants 8-6-1 (11-3-0)
4. Philadelphia Eagles 4-5-0 (3-5-1)
5. Pittsburgh Pirates 2-8-1 (3-6-2)

Western Division
1. Chicago Bears 8-3-2 (10-2-1) <-- Champs in both real life and replay
2. Portsmouth Spartans 6-5-0 (6-5-0)
3. Green Bay Packers 4-6-3 (5-7-1)
4. Chicago Cardinals 3-7-1 (1-9-1)
5. Cincinnati Reds 1-8-1 (3-6-1)

Not too far off. Many teams were within 1 or 2 wins/loses of their real life record, and Portsmouth was spot on. The only two teams that were a bit off were the Giants (3 more loses in replay) and Redskins (4 more wins).

One difference is that there was a lot more scoring in the replay than in real life. The highest scoring team in the replay, the Chicago Bears, had 237 points in the replay, but only 133 in real life. The Redskins scored 232 points in the replay, but only 103 in real life. In real life, the Giants were an offensive power and scored 244, 13 more than the 231 they scored in the replay. And some other teams came in at under their real life points total, but overall, scoring was higher (1494 in replay vs. 1105 in real life)

I think the issue is that there were a lot more plays in the replay than in real life. In real life, 5,749 plays. In the replay, 6,619. I used whatever the default settings were. For the next season, I'll tick the Timing setting down one or two spots to decrease the number of plays some.
