We deserved to win this game. 24-13 edge in first downs. More than 100 more yards from scrimmage (508-393). We ran the ball much better than the Cougars. Just hard to overcome turnovers - glad we did this time.
John Rattay was awfully good. 25-33 for 362 yards. 2 TDs and 1 INT. He was also missing one WR via suspension and another with an injury. Didn't stop him from continuing to put pressure on the defense.
Nicolas Morris may have come of age today. 27 rushes for 154 yards and a TD. I'm still waiting for him to break a big run, but his effort today is what I've been hoping to see.
Big game for WR Mike Voight, who finished with 8 catches for 106 yards but was bigger than his numbers.
Senior WR Dan Campbell has been an afterthought the entire time I've coached this team, but he really came through today. 4 catches for 93 yards.
OG John Perryman - 2 sacks allowed, one holding, one false start. Back to the bench with this stiff.
OT Yale Givens had 4 pancakes.
DE Ronald Smith had 8 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 stuff and 1 hurry.
