ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER CHAIN LINK IN THE ROTATION BELT

Hawaii essentially paid us to take a 4th starter in exchange for four prospects including SP Jimmy Gaines rated #69 in Baseball America's Top 100 prospects list.

Ortiz is 6-7 with a 5.09 ERA and 102 Ks in 20 starts this year. Gaines wasn't the best prospect in the world, but he might have been more useful to send somewhere for some offense. What's going on? I hope they know what they're doing in that front office, but maybe we should cut them slack since they've taken an average team so far and turned them into a division leader.
