General/Personal Update

So the twins age up today. They turn 11, which means they no longer have any state cuts and the times required to earn a cut are much faster.

Bear will have his Birthday party this Saturday after practice. He is bringing over several kids from swimming to play games. We'll go up to the middle school football field and potentially play:

- flag football
- utimate frisbee
- Wheeler Ball (like utlimate frisbee, but with a football)
- Gotcha (basketball game)
- Wiffle Ball
- Frisbee Golf (backyard style)

Bailey's party will be next weekend, and she's having a glow in the dark sleepover/dance party.

Also, we found out last night that Bear has taking change out of his bank and buying his friends snacks from the vending machine each day. He really enjoys making others feel good, and to him it was worth doing because he doesn't need anything and his friends appreciated what he was doing. Recently, he ran out of money (after spending somewhere in the neighborhood of $30), so he elected to come up with some other ways to be generous. Yesterday, he gave away some pennies, only they were collectible pennies. We aren't sure which ones they were because he hadn't cateloged them yet (at one point he thought he wanted to collect coins). We had to have a long talk with Bear about this, but it is really hard. He genuinely wants to be nice to others, so you don't want to squelch that as a parent, but you have to make sure he isn't setting himself up to be taken advantage of. This was a difficult talk...
