A preview of the Metro Atlantic Conference in 2012:

Loyola College - Rated 82 overall. The most balanced team in the conference with the best shooting in the conference. They are 8-3 coming into conference play and one of their losses is a 88-84 loss to Maryland.

Siena - Rated 81 overall. A team without any weaknesses but no obvious strengths. They are 6-4 coming into conference play.

Rider - Rated 80 overall. Third best shootng teams in the conference. They are 8-2 coming into conference play so far.

Manhattan - Rated 79 overall. A decent shooting team that has great size inside and is a tough rebounding team. One of the best rebounding teams in the conference. They are 6-6 coming into conference play.

Iona - Rated 79 overall. The 2nd best shooting team in the conference. They are 8-4 coming into the conference. Very dangerous from outside of the arc.

Niagara - We are rated 77 in overall team talent, but our shooting is one of the better ratings in the conference at 81. We should be 8-3 going into conference play unless we have a colossal upset to Nicholls State.

Fairfield - Rated 77 overall in team talent but with worse shooting than us. Their strength is their inside play and team defense. They are 4-5 coming into conference play at this point.

Saint Peter's - Rated 75 overall and one of the few teams below us in overall team talent. Stregnth is their rebounding. They are 3-6 coming into conference play.

Canisius - Another team expected to finish below us that is rated 75 in overall talent. They are 5-5 coming into conference play. A poor shooting team but a decent defensive team.

Marist - Rated 72 overall which makes them the weakest team in the conference. Despite this, they are a decent shooting team, but their defense is horrid. They are 2-10 coming into conference play.
