Week 4
Oakland at Jacksonville(-2)

Oakland Raiders 0 17 0 10 - 27
Jacksonville Jaguars 3 0 0 0 - 3
1Q: 00:29 JAX - Jeff Lane 46 field goal
2Q: 13:01 OAK - Gene Prebola 3 pass from Roman Gabriel (Daniel Macon extra point)
2Q: 11:28 OAK - Bert Coan 0 blocked punt return (Daniel Macon extra point)
2Q: 00:09 OAK - Daniel Macon 19 field goal
4Q: 10:45 OAK - Doug Asad 10 fumble return (Daniel Macon extra point)
4Q: 08:10 OAK - Daniel Macon 32 field goal

Aha! the return giveith and the return taketh away, we finally get some returns in our favor, a blocked punt and a fumble return to help us defeat the Jags. Gabriel did not have a great game and we are still passing way to much for my taste but our defense has stepped up and played very well during this first four games. Our running back tandem rushed for 82 yards and our defense held the Jaguars to 176 total yards. I was worried about the #2 pick Alworth going into this game, he showed flashes of brillance but for the most part we were able to shut him out. Four turnovers in our favor has us tied for 7th in turnover ratio for the young year. Gabe Anthony was the MVP of the game with two big time sacks, we were constantly harrasing Ninowski into bad throws.
Next week we head to 0-4 Houston, a trap game the week before we come back to Cali to face division leader San Diego.

Game of the Week: Cleveland at Buffalo
Cleveland traveled north to Buffalo in week 4 and a packed War Memorial Stadium was treated to a great game with a fantastic finish. Both teams marched up and down the field as Buffalo took a 24-17 lead into the 4th quarter but Jim Brown and Len Dawson led the Cleveland to back to back drives to take the lead 31-24. Buffalo fans were settling in for overtime after Johnny Green found Larry Walton to tie the score 31 all but Dawson put Lou Groza into position for a forty-six yard try and he nailed it to stun the Buffalo 34-31 and show the league why Cleveland is the favorite in the AFC.
