Man, prices here in the Bay Area are so different. A normal meal out here for two at a generic restaurant is going to start at $50 - and that's just with two entrees, one appetizer, and a pair of non-alcoholic drinks. My band goes out for Sushi as a celebration after a show, and while we are 7 people, if it's under $400 we've had an off night for ordering food.

For some comparison, that's probably in the low 40s around me ( assuming "generic" is anything from a local mid-priced joint to Applebees/similar chain)
