SAA Conference Championship Preview – Millsaps Majors
2022 Projected Finish – 7th
2021 Finish – 6th
2021 Score – 156
Millsaps is a small team consisting of only 6 swimmers. This will severely hinder their overall score because they basically forfeit all 5 of their B relay scores. Moreover, while they have 6 swimmers, 5 of those 6 would be considered below average in conference. In fact, those 5 swimmers last year, with Sewanee basically skipping the meet, thus making backend points easier to earn, managed to get 22 points combined, with 10 being the high. Those 5 will likely struggle to match that 22 point total this year.
The final member of the team is the complete opposite.
Bryan Sullivan is a transfer student from Drury University. He is also 6 years from his high school graduation so he’s eligible to swim here only because of the Covid rules from last year. Sullivan is entering the meet as one of the top sprinters in conference and will be competing for conference championships in whichever 3 events he enters. He is currently the top seed in the 50 Free, 100 Fly, and 100 Back, and is the second seed in the 100 Free.
