April 2015
Board Confidence

The board is absolutely delighted with the way the team has been led. We turned a profit of over £1M last month.

We have rejected a bid of £1.9M plus a future sale fee for Yussuf Poulsen from FC København.

2.Bundesliga Match Day #28

We open the month with a routine victory. We're terrible in possession, nick a goal in the counter attack and defend like dogs the rest of the way.

Am I Jose Mourinho?

RASENBALLSPORT LEIPZIG WIN 2.BUNDESLIGA!
With their draw against Karlsruhe, RasenballSport Leipzig has won their second consecutive league title and will now move to the Bundesliga for the 2015-16 season.

The real challenge of managing this club begins in about a month when the season ends. Reinforcing the squad and bring in some quality new faces will be the priority. For now, this is a fantastic achievement and allows us to continue moving in the forward direction the club started in 2009.

2.Bundesliga Match Day #30

Once the own goal came, we were off. Rockenbach with a goal and assist, Thomalla scores two in the span of 45 seconds. Poulsen has an assist, he'll continue to be in the shop window. A very good win over the second place team.

With the win we have set the 2.Bundesliga record for points. Hertha BSC had 76, we currently have 77 with three matches remaining.

German Cup Semi Final

RB Leipzig 4 – 2 Freiburg (Extra Time)

Holy crap! What a performance from Rockenbach! A hat trick and an assist. He completely dominated from the moment he scored his first goal. We looked dead in the water for long stretches of this match and bang! We came alive.

Poulsen adds two assists, Thomalla had an assist as well.

We have been given a whopping £1.51M for the victory. The match was also on television, fro which we received £600K for. Not a bad haul for this small, but growing club.

The match was a record attendance of 40,811.

Interestingly enough, we will face Stuttgart in the DFB Pokal final. In August 2013 we met Stuttgart in the first round of the German Cup and drew them 3-3 through 120 minutes. We lost on penalties 3-0, making it the only 'loss' this club has suffered under the command of Florek Tomczak. However, the penalty loss is considered a draw and our unbeaten streak is currently at 75 matches.

2.Bundesliga Match Day #32
Leipzig Cling on for Draw
(11) Bochum 1 – 1 Leipzig (1)
Goals:
Bochum: Ilsø (pen 75) Leipzig: Holthaus (o.g. 46)
Shots/On Target: Bochum 18/9 Leipzig 5/1
Possession: Leipzig 51/49
Cautions: Leipzig: Kaiser (12)
Man of the Match: GK Damir Kahriman 9.1

Form: Kahriman 9.1, Müller 7.5, Hoheneder 6.4, Politevich 6.8, Jung 6.7, Kaiser (sub 60) 6.7, Bombara 6.7, Fandrich 6.6, Luge 6.7, Delura (sub 60) 6.4, Poulsen 6.8, Schulz (on 60) 6.7, Thomalla (on 60) 6.6

It's no surprise our worst games exactly 36 hours after we beat Freiburg in 120 minutes. Kahriman was outstanding. Probably would have been a 10 rating if he saved the penalty. The rare beast has been seen tonight. We held a 51/49 edge in possession.

Bambara Out Until November
Bad news ahead of the DFB Polak final, our summer and heading into the middle of next season DM Moise Bambara is suffering from knee tendonitis and will miss 6-7 months. We realistically may not get him back until after the winter break.

April Review
We clinch promotion and the league for the second year running. We've reached the DFB Pokal final. Our first chance at cup success. We've suffered major injuries to two of our most influential players in consecutive months. We've managed to succeed without Frahn, who will step up in the absence of Bambara?

Top Players -
1. DC Tobias Willers: 31 apps, 5 goals, 3.47 tackles/90', 3 PoM, 7.28
2. ST Daniel Frahn: 26 apps, 16 goals, 6 assists, 3 PoM, 7.22
3. ST Yussuf Poulsen: 36 apps, 15 goals, 14 assists, 3 PoM, 7.18
