I've been doing really well with the direct impacts of this, but indirect ones are starting to rear their head. We've now reached the point where I'm not sure weekly Zoom extended-family get-togethers are even going to be able to productively continue. The, shall we say 'strong opinions' and borderline intolerance from members of the family on opposite sides of the shutdown debate are creating a lot of tension, so something intended for healing and interaction may no longer be able to be that thing. Still quite minor compared to much of what many have described in this thread, but it has caused the bile to rise within me. I want to tell people to start acting like adults, but that would accomplish nothing.
