Yeah, given the massive changes in 2.2, I really don't feel the need to try to learn it at the same time as I'm dealing with unfamiliar starts. Heck, I went Random for my first try and got Hive Mind civ (which I haven't played) and was like "nope, let's re-roll that".
(the first of the next batch of DLC trio is Synthetic Dawn, and I'll gladly try an AI-based civ at some point I'm sure ... but not on Day One)
