Indeed. Broadcasters are realizing that they can start to charge for the un-aired soccer leagues/competitions, and at least some people will pay them (even if they purposely take away games from being aired so it's on the pay service).
Anyway, this is part of a wider trend, IMO, of broadcasters trying to figure out how to monetize rights in a world that is quickly going to become "post-cable".
