Baltimore's Rodríguez Snags July Batting Title

Carlos Rodríguez earned July's Batter of the Month honors in the Continental League by reeling off a .391 average, going 36 for 92 with 11 home runs, 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
The soon-to-be free agent was hitting with great urgency in an effort to bolster his asking price in the
Baltimore clubhouse and around the rest of the league.
Rodríguez on the season is hitting .325 with 24 home runs. His stats include 91 RBIs and 68 runs scored.

The Republic League has selected its Hitter of the Month for July and the honor went to
José Ramírez,
Ann Arbor's fine right fielder.
Ramírez was selected after batting .382, hitting 9 home runs, scoring 22 runs and driving in 22.
In his stats this season,
Ramírez has posted a batting average of .258 with 116 hits in 450 at-bats, 21 home runs and 59 RBIs. He has also scored 51 runs, walked 15 times and compiled a .281 OBP.
