So i have 216K in chips, the SB has 92K, the BB has 48K, 42K left after posting his blind. We're moving up to 4K/8K very soon and we're moving up in the money fairly consistantly now, which with my number of chips is no big deal, but I figure I have to try to steal on the button here. When my opponent goes all in ,there is 71,730 in the pot. Its only 30,030 for me to call. I'm getting about 2.4:1 to call. If my math is right that means I am correct to call if I feel that my hand can win more than 30% of the time.

If I know for a fact that my opponent has a pair 8's or higher, I will only win 22% of the time and can safely fold. If I knew he had pocket 7's, I'm 38% to win and should call. A lower pair and we're a coin flip, I must call. Two overcards and I am going to win ~40% of the time, another easy call.

As I said in the running FOFC thread, the only time I can fold this is if he shows me an overpair. There is no way I can put a short stack on an overpair so reliably to fold.

Now, should I try to steal the blinds against a small stack there? Perhaps that's questionable, as you want to pick on medium sized stacks more than short short stacks. But anyway, hand of the night for sure in terms of generating conversation.
