A diet that says:
Eat real foods
Cut down significantly on carbohydrates
No junk/baked crap
Eat some fruit and lots of veggies
That seems pretty damn good to me. I never cut out dairy myself, though I know of many people who had specific issues that were exacerbated by dairy so cutting it out benefits them.
