Carolina 2-4 at Minnesota 4-2 (We are favored by 9)
The stars are seemingly aligned as we race our to a 17-0 lead, highlighted by a 67 yard burst to pay dirt by Adrian Peterson. Then Lee Corso shows up with his famous catch phrase as we are outscored 44-3 the rest of the way!!! The main culprit is the suddenly inconsistent Matt Cassel, who tosses 4 interceptions, 2 of which are returned for touchdowns and turns in a horrid stat line of 17-41, 203 yards and no TD’s to go with his generosity to the Panthers. Peterson carries 28 times for 208 yards in vain as we can’t stop giving Carolina the rock.

Week 8
Chicago 4-2 at Minnesota 4-3 (we are favored by 5)
Looking to rebound, the offense is dynamic in the 1st half, staking us to a 27-10 lead and this time the wheels stay on! Our inability to finish is still a concern as we have to settle for Blair Walsh field goals on 4 drives, but Cassel bounces back with a big day, going 24-34, 318 yards and a 23 yard TD strike to Harvin, who tallies 9 grabs for 123 yards. Adrian Peterson is held out after hyper-extending his Elbow against Carolina and the running game suffers takes a drop, though Darren Sproles still gives us a respectable 59 yards on 13 carries, while FB Jerome Felton logs a career high 17 carries, but only gains 38 yards.
Final: Minnesota 33 Chicago 16
Another all important division win and we sit at 5-3, one half game behind the Packers at the halfway point. Despite missing this last game, Adrian Peterson sits at 917 yards and a stellar 5.46 per carry. Maurice Jones-Drew and Arian Foster are the only 2 backs with more yards at 1026 and 984 respectively.
