There is no correlation. The bowl match-ups are hard coded into the game, and they do not mirror the "real life" bowl match-ups (which frequently change). Same for the conferences; they are hard coded into the game, which does not allow for any customization to mirror the constantly changing landscape of "real life" conferences.
If only we could take the game engine and recruiting engine from TCY and combine it with the ability to mod and customize from BBCF, we'd have the perfect college football simulation.
