Looking at the polls, this is an early projection of the NCAA Tournament's top seeding.
East: 1) Duke 2) Princeton 3) GW 4) Yale
South: 1) Maryland 2) UTEP 3) Cornell 4) TCU
Midwest: 1) Missouri 2) North Carolina 3) Texas A&M 4) Baylor
West: 1) Rice 2) BYU 3) Southern Cal 4) Wake Forest
The West would be stacked if that happened. Three of those teams are in the top eight.
GW is hampered by the Ivy League rising this year, and the ACC being a dominant presence. Three ACC teams are worthy of #1 spots (it won't happen, the clutter among the top eight teams is too great). A three-seed with one of the weaker Ivies is not a bad consolation, if they can get it. And they have wanted revenge on Duke all year. So, I think they'd take this projection.
