Board Confidence

They're still delighted, but slightly disappointed with the departure of Eric Domaschke. The keeper that never once appeared for us.

Tobias Willers is back in full training.

Rockenbach does it all, starting on the left and shifting to the right. He added two assists after his goal. The entire team was on it today. Great job all around and we move on.

We've received £459,000 for the victory.

2.Bundesliga Match Day #18

A mundane win. One match left until the well earned winter break.

We are now unbeaten in 60 matches.

2.Bundesliga Match Day #19
Leipzig Trounce Rivals, Ease Into Winter Break
(5) Chemnitz – RB Leipzig (1)
Goals:
Chemnitz: Hensel (51)Leipzig: Poulsen (8), Frahn (pen 21, 36), Riederer (o.g. 45+2), Fandrich (62)
Shots/On Target: Chemnitz 11/5 Leipzig 13/8
Possession: Leipzig 51/49

Man of the Match: AMR Clemens Fandrich 9.0

Form: Kahriman 6.8, Müller 7.8, Sebastian 7.9, Franke 8.3, Judt 7.8, Kaiser (sub 56) 7.0, Crimi 7.7, Fandrich 9.0, Rockenbach (sub 56) 7.8, Frahn 8.6, Poulsen 7.8, Sreckovic (on 56) 6.7, Schulz (on 56) 6.7

A comprehensive victory to head into the winter break. Frahn with two goals, Rockenbach with two assists, Fandrich lead the way with one of each. We probably should have had more! Crimi is adjusting nicely. Sreckovic is going to need some starts to meld with the team, but Rockenbach has been outstanding as of late and I can't justify sitting him right now.

Tomczak Brings in Politevich
We're preparing to go up a level and lose some players through contract expiry at the end of this season. Politevich is the first signing to shore up the back four moving forward and upward. The 24 year-old Belarus international is not technically magnificent, 13 mark and tackle is sufficient. However, he is strong (15 str, 15 jump) and is solid across the board mentally. He can also play DM in a pinch. As a free transfer this could be another coup without spending any real money.

January Friendlies
RC Strasbourg Alsace 1 – 0 RB Leipzig
Aalen 2 – 1 RB Leipzig
SV Grödig 2 – 2 RB Leipzig
US Dunkerque 0 – 3 RB Leipzig

Nestor Joins
We'll be losing DR Christian Müller in the summer, he's not a Bundesliga quality player. We move for Frenchman Loïc Nestor from La Berrichonne. The player costs us £220,000. The 25 year-old fullback is another determined player with decent skills and solid physicals. We're gearing ourselves up for a relegation dogfight in 2015-16.

December-January Review
15 wins, 4 draws, 0 losses. Our 49 points gives us a 9 point lead over Ingolstadt, a 10 point edge over Augsburg. We seemed to really be hitting our stride in the counter attack this month and it's disappointing we'll have a full month off (barring friendlies). This is the time of time when you'd love to just keep on rolling through the games to gain momentum.
