Napa Valley Hurler Wins CL Gabriel Prado Award

Lorenzo Salas of the
Napa Valley Winemakers put together a good year in 2203 for such a young player.
Salas was named today as the winner of the Continental League Gabriel Prado Award.
Salas crafted an impressive 15-8 record and a 2.36 ERA. In 228.1 innings he allowed 195 hits, struck out 176, and walked 20.

The Gabriel Prado Award for 2203 has been presented and the Republic League winner is
Manuel Rivas of
Omaha.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Rivas. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Bees star told reporters.
Rivas excelled with an impressive 21-9 record in 32 starts. In 236.2 innings he yielded 243 hits and 32 walks, while striking out 118 and compiling a fine 2.93 ERA.
