Group 2

Hole 1

Kowalski (-1) - birdie putt won't drop
Puller (-1) - Consistent swing stroke leads to birdie (-2)


Hole 2

Kowalski (-1) - Solid par
Puller (-2) - sand game can't save par and Puller quickly drops the stroke he picked up at 1 (-1)


Hole 3

Kowalski (-1) - solid par
Puller (-1) - solid par


Hole 4

Kowalski (-1) - birdie putt slips by the bottom edge of the hole
Puller (-1) - great course management leads to birdie (-2) and the roller coaster for Puller continues...


Hole 5

Kowalski (-1) - saves par with an excellent chip from the left side of the green
Puller (-2) - nice par


Hole 6

Kowalski (-1) - solid par
Puller (-2) - solid par


Hole 7

Kowalski (-1) - solid par
Puller (-2) - solid par


Hole 8

Kowalski (-1) - aggressive play allows player to birdie the tough pin placement (-2)
Puller (-2) - solid par


Hole 9

Kowalski (-2) - bunker catches the approach shot and with the tough pin placement Kowalski has not shot to get up and down (-1)
Puller (-2) - just aggressive enough to get make the long and difficult par saving putt.


Hole 10

Kowalski (-1) - solid par
Puller (-2) - solid par


Hole 11

Kowalski (-1) - short game isn't good enough to save par (E)
Puller (-2) - birdie run is too high and it rolls by the hole - tap in par


Hole 12

Kowalski (E) - tee ball is unfocused but player still is able to par
Puller (-2) - tee ball is long but player gets up and down for par


Hole 13

Kowalski (E) - grinds out a par
Puller (-2) - also finds himself grinding to save par


Hole 14

Kowalski (E) - has to grind yet again to record par
Puller (-2) - solid par


Hole 15

Kowalski (E) - after approach is 28 feet from the pin, it looked like the grind would continue for Ray, but he aggressively hits his long putt and it falls for a birdie (-1)
Puller (-2) - solid par


Hole 16

Kowalski (-1) - player takes advantage of the easier pin placement and drills his long iron shot inside 12 feet - birdie putt is made (-2)
Puller (-2) - solid par


Hole 17

Kowalski (-2) - solid par
Puller (-2) - up and down to save par


Hole 18

Kowalski (-2) - the grind of the round took it's toll, Ray looks exhausted but he had enough left to get into the clubhouse with a par
Puller (-2) - had a run at birdie from 22 feet and it was tracking but the putt came up just a bit short


RECAP

Kowalski started very slowly but was able to birdie 2 holes late and he finished -1, he'll head into Sunday -2.

Puller a roller coaster early round saw Puller go birdie, bogey, par, birdie...but then things slowed down and he ultimately finished 1 under for the day and will be 2 under for the start of the final round
