Aside from maybe the e-mail menu, I don't see much of a reason why all the menus couldn't be open when you start the game. Having to click all those buttons when the game starts seems like a needless step. Now granted, this may be a moot point if there was a better flow between menus, allowing for multiple page open at once, etc. But that has always been one of my gripes.
