We go 1-for-2 in recruiting this time around, as
Thomas Lucy commits to our program today!
Thomas is our first
Mr. Basketball, earning that honor in his home state of Delaware. He's also our first Top 100 recruit. If we're scouting him accurately, he'll arrive as at least an Orange player with Blue potential.
Jerry Sly chooses Hofstra instead. And, as we expected,
Marlon Smith signs with Lehigh, and
David Maxson with Rutgers. All of the players we've recruited this season have picked the offer from the school they had highest on their Top Five.
Based on those results, the smart play for us would be to offer a scholarship to
Carlton McFadden.

Carlton is one of the players I invited to campus back in September. He seems to like what he saw on his visit. Carlton is a local lad, and he'd be far from a consolation prize. He's shot well at the prep level, and it looks like he's got the skills to keep scoring as a collegian.
I offer Carlton a scholarship, and Coaches Sims and Woods will be traveling down to the Main Line to visit him and his family this month.
