2016 Postseason Recap
The NCAA Final Four saw (7S) Vanderbilt stun (2W) Iowa 71-57 in one semifinal, then (3MW) Iowa State beat (1E) Kansas 76-68 in the other semifinal. The national championship was over at halftime, as Iowa State dominated Vanderbilt 87-44.
The NIT Final Four saw (3S) Wichita State beat (7W) Richmond 79-77 in the first semifinal, then (4E) New Mexico State beat (2MW) Indiana 81-61 in the other semifinal. The NIT Championship was a classic, as Wichita State beat New Mexico State 72-70.
The CBI Championship Series went all 3 games, as (2) SMU beat (1) LaSalle 2 games to 1. SMU won the first game, 73-58, the LaSalle evened up the series by winning the second game 66-60 in overtime. SMU handled LaSalle in the rubber match, 63-49.
The CIT Championship saw (1) Albany beat (3) Lafayette 68-57.
