Well, we HAD a stud QB in Schwartz, but he got hurt, and now Rasberry may be following in his footsteps...

2017 PRESEASON/FINAL CUTS/OUTLOOK

PRESEASON INJURIES OF NOTE
Am I just snakebitten at QB, or what??? In the third preseason game, QB Malcolm Rasberry suffers a torn quad, and will miss the entire season. 4th-year man Randall Barker will begin the year as the starter. No other injuries of note.

FINAL CUTS

RB Bubba Hill

FL Tony Davison

REGULAR SEASON OUTLOOK

POWER RATING: 71. 2nd-best in NFC, behind New York (78).
ROSTER: 100. Seattle also is at 100, and the Giants are 95.

DIVISION RIVALS

(LAST YEAR'S RECORD IN PARENTHESIS)

CAROLINA (7-8-1)--Age is catching up with J.J. Robinson, and they don't have a reliable-looking backup. However, the o-line is looking pretty strong. Their defense is very much suspect, though.

NEW ORLEANS (3-13)--They should be pretty decent on both sides of the ball this year, although nothing special.

TAMPA BAY (7-9)--Jason Raymond and the Bucs look like our biggest challengers for the division title. They should feature a fairly balanced offensive. The defense is strong up front, but pretty dreadful at LB and in the secondary. They're going to give up some points.

DIVISION PREDICTION

Atlanta 12-4

Tampa Bay 8-8

Carolina 7-9

New Orleans 7-9
