Cops are human. They are flawed, they may act on emotion. Some are probably biased or racist. Some
aren't the best and brightest.
So without proper training and supervision, they're going to fuck up. Sometimes, they are going to abuse power. When they do,
they are going to fit the story to cover their own asses.

Without that film, we would have gotten the same story here. It was the perp's fault he's dead, not the cops. They were just protecting themselves. He was resisting arrest and/or violent.
