I'm still looking. However I've yet to enounter a case where the taskbar being over the bottom is anything other than the resolution having a height of 768. The method I mentioned above can be used but if people really don't want to do that I'll see about adding a link to the messages on the side menu.

I just tried the drag-the-taskbar-to-the-side solution and I still could not get to the buttons on the bottom of the screen. I think the combination of the high resolution, the widescreen ratio, and Windows 7 compounds the problem.
