UTSA beat Stephen F. Austin 88-74. They were led by their center Russ Permenter who ha 33 points and 13 boards. Russ is a good center but Lloyd is his equal. Lavardicus Clarke, their SF, was hurt in the game and only had 2 points. It is unclear if he will play in the final, but obviously would be a big loss if he doesn't.

UTSA is rated 76 in overall team talent. They finished the year at 13-15(8-8.) Let's break it down position by position before the game starts:

PG Devin Gibson is rated 74 overall. He is 6'0 185 pounds. He is a senior. He is a devastingly good finisher around the rim. He has a terrific handle and is a good passer. Good speed and quickness. Advantage: UTSA

SG Dwayne Lathan is rated 75 overall. He is 6'4 201 pounds. He is a junior. He is a decent jump shooter with a great handle and good slashing ability. Very good athleticism overall. Also, a good defender. Advantage: UTSA

SF: Lavardicus Clarke is playing but he is hurt. Normally he is athletic and is a good defener. However, with his leg injury, I'm hoping he is slowed down. He is 6'8 240. At full speed this would be advantage UTSA but if he is slowed, this could be advantage Spencer.

PF Brennan Eppenhimer Rated 68 overall. He is a sophomore who is rated 68 overall. He is a good jump shooter for a PF. He is a good blocker and a good defender. Advantage: Push

C Russ Permenter: Rated 71 overall. 6'10 240. I'm glad he is a senior. Good jump shooter. Very good offensive game inside, better than I thought. Good passer for a big man. Good defensively. Still, he isn't much better than Lloyd and Lloyd has size on him. Push, maybe slight advantage to Lloyd.

Bench:

Steven Keller is a 69 rated PG who is lightning quick. I have no one like that on my bench.

Johnmark Ludwick is a 6'8 240 pound PF who can shoot the 3 a bit and is a good jump shooter. Rated 63 overall.

Majak Long is a 68 rated SG who is better than Martin perhaps. Advantage UTSA on the bench.

This will be a very tough game, but we'll slow it down like we did our last game and hope for some hot shooting from Spencer or Martin.
