Beginner's Game sign up thread

Post in this thread if you are interested. WW "veterans" are not allowed to play. For the most part, I will let each individual determine if they are eligible for this game or not.

I will also post an announcement in General Discussion.

So far the following people have expressed interest.

1. Izulde
2. Lonestargirl
3. Spleen1015
4. Lighthousekeeper
5. Glengoyne
6. Neuqua
7. PackerFanatic
8. GoldenEagle
9. Bek
10. DaddyTorgo
11. oliegirl
12. Anxiety

Basic Rules - Within the group of players, there will be a secret group of "wolves." The wolves know who they are, but nobody else does. All players are nominally "villagers" - the wolves are hiding in their midst. The wolves are allowed to communicate freely via pm, im, email, telephone, etc. The villagers are only allowed to communicate in thread (although in some games there are exceptions to this.)

Gameplay has 2 phases. During the day phase, the village chooses one player to be "lynched." During the night phase, the wolves gather in secret (using pm) and choose one player to "eat." The object of the village is to lynch all wolves. The object of the wolves is normally to get to a 1 to 1 ratio of villagers to wolves, since at that point they can control the lynches.

In this game, and in most games, there will be 1 villager who will be a "seer." In the night phase, the seer chooses one player to "scan" with his crystal ball. The seer will then know if the player is a wolf or a villager. There will also be a "bodyguard" - this is a villager who, each night, chooses one player to guard. If the wolves choose to attack the guarded player, that attack will typically fail - the details of what exactly happens vary from game to game.

There are many other permutations possible. Feel free to ask any questions.
