Bryant Bulldogs 2020-2021 Starting Lineup
PG Bohumir Schulz (So)*
Robbed of All-Freshman recognition last year, he continues to hold off Augusto Lorenzo for the starting PG spot and in fact, showed significantly improved ball handling skill over the summer.

SG Chris Templeton (Sr)
Finally wins a starting spot in his last year. One of the few bright points in a dismal season as our top bench player. Can he make the transition to successful starter?

SF Mac Murray (Jr)*
One of the biggest reasons we fell apart in Northeast play was the loss of Murray to academic suspension. We need him to stay focused in the classroom so he can do great things on the court.

PF Bruno Fremault (Fr)
Very impressive camp for the freshman, so impressive that he wins the starting PF spot. Undersized at 6'6, sure, but Lance Tully was short, too, and he was a great player.

C Sofronio Rey (Sr)*
Terribly disappointing junior year, where he shot just 43.8%. If we're going to win the Northeast this season, we need him to be more Joaquin Bravo than Mack Rasmussen.

La Salle may have won a recruiting war, but we beat them 69-60 to start the year. Mac Murray scores 22, Chris Templeton 14, and Sofronio Rey just misses a double-double with 8 points and 17 rebounds.

72-67 road loss to Longwood in what I hope isn't a sign of things to come for away games. 18 points from Mac Murray and 14 points from Sofronio Rey are it.

We obliterate Louisiana Tech 107-71. Mac Murray almost gets a triple double with 23 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Wow! Bohumir Schulz with 25 points, Chris Templeton with 22. Sofronio Rey with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks and Jamie Spradlin with 8 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Oh, and Augusto Lorenzo with 10 bench points.

17 points from Bruno Fremault, 19 bench points from Augusto Lorenzo and 10 bench points from Jamie Spradlin add up to a 72-67 win over Maine in our final November game.

Mr. Basketball Massachussetts, who we led all summer long on, suddenly switches to UMass and we lose another guy to Towson. On the other hand, we land C Titus Orman, New Hampshire's Mr. Basketball, stealing him away from New Hampshire.

Major confidence boosting 73-61 road win over Brown. Sofronio Rey leads the charge with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks, while Chris Templeton scores 18.

Harvard beats us 83-70 despite all five starters scoring 11+ points, with the exception of Sofronio Rey's 9 points and 9 rebounds. Mac Murray topped our scoring effort with 16.

A grueling road stretch starts with a 61-58 win over UC-Riverside. Chris Templeton scores 14, Mac Murray 13, and Sofronio Rey is a post presence with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks.

Winthrop beats us 71-58 where all we have to show is Mac Murray's 12 points and 10 rebounds and Bohumir Schulz's 16 points.

Ugly 63-39 loss to Seattle. Not worth talking about.

Our non-conference record is saved from doom with a 70-52 rout of South Dakota State. Chris Templeton's 18 points and Bohumir Schulz's 10 points bail us out, even as Gary Wilson is out a little over two weeks with patellar tendinitis.

We come back home and get embarrassed 100-65 by Robert Morris in the Northeast opener. Ugh.

Two more scholarship rejections. I swear I'm resigning after this season.

91-84 road loss to St. Francis (PA). WTFE.

21 points, 15 rebounds from Sofronio Rey and 16 points from Chris Templeton for a 67-64 of course home win over Qunnipiac and then Mac Murray breaks his leg and is out two months.

71-46 L @ Wagner
68-65 L Monmouth
73-67 L St. Francis (NY)
83-82 W Sacred Heart
64-62 W @ Mount St. Mary's

Chris Templeton breaks his fucking arm and Bohumir Schulz fucks up his knee. Fuck this cocksucking bullshit.

I'm pleased to see an 82-45 win at Fairleigh-Dickinson, with Sofronio Rey tearing shit up for 33 points and 15 rebounds and Jamie Spradlin with 18 points and 11 rebounds, but even with the three game winning streak, we're not even .500 in Northeast play.

71-69 L @ Monmouth

3 more scholarship rejections. Whatever. I'm resigning after this year.

We have no hope of winning the Northeast title with Robert Morris at 9-1.

67-64 upset win at Robert Morris thanks to 15 points a piece from Jamie Spradlin and Bohumir Schulz.

66-61 win over Mount St. Mary's to put us at .500 in the conference. Sofronio Rey beasts for 24 points and 10 rebounds and Augusto Lorenzo puts up 15 points. He's been starting at PG since the Chris Templeton injury.

68-58 L @ Long Island and Bohumir Schulz breaks his foot. FUCK YOU, FBCB.

77-66 L @ St. Francis (NY)

75-74 win vs St. Francis (PA) on Sofronio Rey's 24 points and 15 rebounds and Augusto Lorenzo's 15 points. I'm amazed we're getting any wins at all considering three starters have broken whatevers.

67-65 loss to CCSU and fuck you again FBCB.

Mac Murray returns and the emotional lift is a 71-43 assraping of Wagner. Augusto Lorenzo scores 20, Bruno Fremhaldt 11, who hasn't been terrrible as the starting SF.

And a 75-61 road loss to Quinnipiac to keep us from .500 in NE play.

We get a 3* Canadian recruit. I don't care. Every single 2 and 3* recruit with even Low interest in us has committed by the start of March, and we're sitting on 3 open scholarships.

67-65 loss to shitass CSU-Bakersfield. And yet...

I throw up after our fucking heartfucking 96-94 loss to Robert Morris. Fuck fuck just fucking what this god damned cocksucking BULLFUCKINGSHIT season has been all about.

I SAY AGAIN, FUCK YOU UP THE ASS WITH A GIANT RANCID GOAT DILDO, FBCB.

UConn beats Illinois 62-53 in the championship.

I hand in my resignation because Schwarzy tells me the board is going to fire me.

McNeese State offers me a job, but I have no interest in going anywhere where I have to accomplish something like a .500 conference record.

South Dakota offers, but I pass on them, too.

Then, Robert Morris invites me back to the Northeast and I strongly consider it. Good budget and some pretty nice facilities for the level, 5th in the conference in fact. But I pass on that, too, as I'm not a huge fan of Pittsburgh.
