WIDE RIGHT, WIDE RIGHT, WIDE RIGHT!

Ladies and gentlemen, we are heading to overtime!

The coin toss, and Jacksonville wins and naturally elects to receive.

The kick was caught at the 3 yard line and returned an incredible 57 yards down to our 40 yard line. Fortunately our speedy backup CB was able to catch up with the kick returner from behind and take him down. This was not the way that we were hoping overtime would go. But we still had a chance. The two sacks on first an third down made up for the errors by our return team and force Jacksonville to punt the ball. The punt went into the end zone giving us the ball at the 20.

We take over with our first possession of the extra period starting at the 20 yard line. Nixon handles our first three plays and picked up 28 yards in doing so. We were facing a third and 2 from the Jacksonville 46. Nixon ran around the left tackle for 6 more yards and another first down. We were rapidly approaching field goal range. Then, on second and 10, Nixon ran for 4 yards, setting up a 3rd and 6. We completed a pass for 12 more yards and another first down. This put the ball on the 24, and easily in field goal range. Another 4 yard run for Leland was followed by a 5 yard run by him. We tried a fullback dive on third down, but that was stuffed for no yards, setting up a fourth and 1 from the 15. From this place on the field we knew that we could make the field goal from here.

We lined up for the 32 yard kick. The hold was good the kick goes up…

It goes right down the middle.

WE WIN, WE WIN, WE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Introducing the 2028 Super Bowl Champions, the Atlanta Falcons.
The cannons go off. Atlanta goes into a frenzy. Jubilation rules throughout the streets.

Oddly enough, the MVP award was giving to Howie Davidson. No doubt, he had a very good game, but HE LOST! Frankly, I think Leland was robbed. He finished with 36 carries for 165 yards. He didn't score a TD, but he did come up with that critical 2 point conversion late in the game. Or I suppose that you could say that our most valuable player we Jacksonville's kicker, Kinney. His 0 of 4 day was huge in our winning this game. I almost feel sorry for Kinney, he really was considered on of the top 5 kickers in the league, but he will forever be remembered for today's performance.
