Thanks for the input guys.. I have decided how I'm going to set up the postseason.

For starters, all teams in this dynasty WILL play in some kind of postseason tournament, I plan on having 3 of them. The NCAA Tournament, the NIT, and a final tournament that will feature all of the teams that don't make the NCAA or NIT. I'm planning on calling it the Best of the Worst tournament.

All division winners plus conference tournament winners for the 8 conferences featured in this will automatically qualify for the NCAA tournament, which means there could be anywhere from 16 to 24 automatic qualifiers. As we've already discussed, there are 24 other conferences in NCAA basketball, I will simulate all 24 of those conference tournaments, and those 24 winners will either be in the NCAA tournament or NIT tournament. I want to make a fair balance to have some of the lower conferences be 15/16 seeds in the NCAA tournament with a few of them being 7/8 seeds in the NIT. Sounds confusing I know, a lot of it will be played out by how the conference tournaments shape up.

If it works out, I'm going to make a rule that you must have a .500 or better record to play in the NCAA or NIT, otherwise you are relegated to the Best of the Worst tournament. Anybody confused? Questions? comments?
