We beat two teams to sign my Nigerian target off the free deck.
Here’s Etebo. He’s a developed youth on the Nigerian squad. He’s strong, our scouts loved him, he was let go by a mid-table Portuguese team, and was willing to come here. I was talking about depth at Middies, particularly on the wings to have another option. This guy can play every midfielder spot, ST, and he’s learned DMC and even wingback. He has decent-ish mark/tack/etc and he’s good everywhere – mentally, physically, and technically. There is nothing here to not like. I expect to give him early games on the ML side competing with Stoian, and I’ll let the best player there win out. I also could see giving him reps at Lupu’s AMC, spotting at Mc, subbing for Petre, etc. I might even give him some ST play, although I’m deep there.
The goal is to keep pushing so we can win the Basano, and Etebo was a free addition of quality to my squad, much like Mitrea and Riojas last year.
