We re-sign
Quentin Darche. He is nothing special, but he's a huge chemistry asset, still has a little bit of skill left, and gives us a bit of cohesion (upended by his stint away from our team when he wanted phat loot). Not thrilled, but he plugs in as this year's RT, for lack of another good option in free agency.
On a parallel track, I made a minor trade- next year's 4th rounder to land a young good-fit, decent-enough OT,
Jerry Pichietti. He was on my radar in last year's draft as a chemistry fit, but went in round two. He faded a bit in ratings, so he's almost certainly nothing special, but on this team a chemistry-positive guy at a tough-to-fill position who's likely going to end up good enough to play at RT... that has value to me. Only 13 personality, so maybe not a long-term anchor guy, but I wouldn't be shocked if this guy is a cheap-enough-to-resign guy who could start for us next year at RT and be with us for 6-10 years.
