So, we do the obvious, and re-sign RB Phelps. I have had so much trouble getting consistent production from the position, I feel I need to keep him while I have him, rather than just hope I can replace him younger.
I also bring in a "camp arm" - but don't get too excited.
Brody Van Pelt is a 16th year guy, decent affinity fit, and has been a so-so player through his career. Just giving him a look, I still make him an underdog to land a roster slot.
Round 2 draft pick coming soon, and I sense a "reach for a LB" play from us - need position, and I don't love the top fits out there for us at OT or TE, the other two slots I would have hoped for a plug-and-play guy.
