Is there some reason one would need to "tacitly acknowledge" being in a normal, legal relationship?
I'll come right out and say it - when I was 22, I paid for my 22-year old GF's dinner on occasion, and we even went on a day cruise to the Bahamas that I paid for. I'll even tell you her name if you really want!
