Brooklyn Brownstones.
This season the 23-year-old shortstop played in 161 games, recording a .321 batting average with 26 home runs, 82 RBIs and 104 runs scored.

It was an impressive debut for
Hammersmith center fielder
Alfonso Fernández. For his solid performance, he has been chosen the best of the 2205 freshman class in the Republic League.
The 26-year-old novice carved out a .278 average during the regular season, playing in 162 games and gathering 184 hits in 663 at-bats. Fernández hit 29 home runs while driving in 117 runs and scoring 98 times. He also picked up 27 walks to post a .314 on-base percentage.
