Hirayama received word of his Republic League Hideaki Tanaka Award selection earlier today. That should make him a valuable commodity for next year.
In 2205 he boasted a .370 average and a .417 on-base percentage as he piled up 190 hits, 14 doubles, no triples, 22 home runs, 71 RBIs and 85 runs scored.
