Part One: Jeremy Naquin, the linebacker
Jeremy’s Journal

I know a lot of y'all have been bugging me to start a blog. Just be aware that I'm really busy, and you just have to wait sometimes. Remember, I'm a student, too, and it's hard concentrating on football and an education. However, I promise I'll try as much as possible. So, welcome to my personal sync. Anyone want to give me a nickname? I'm tired of Coach Johnson calling me 'Bonehead' and 'You'! I'm a three year starter!
Fall practice has been in full swing, and I am a little sad that this will be my senior season with the Demons. Ever since I was a boy, I knew I wanted to be a football player. Even though my dreams of playing at LSU were dashed, I have still had a hell of a time here at Northwestern State.
Dad paid me a visit last week, and he wanted to make sure I had my head in the right place. It’s true I’ve been a little down. I don’t know why. Angela (She let’s me call her Angie sometimes, but not often) is applying some marriage pressure, and I’m graduating this semester, and I want us to finally make the playoffs and win a championship. And Coach Murray already made me defensive captain, and I’m a preseason first team All-American and we’re Southland Conference favorites. It all just seems to be too much for my mind right now. Hell, I just need a beer!
I need to get my head on straight. I am a football player, and I am documenting my life in my personal blogs. Don’t worry—especially you, Mom, if you’re reading this!
I am Jeremy Naquin and this is my Personal Football Journal.
