Baltimore Barons PG Octavio Quevado has demanded a trade due to lack of playing time. He has been the starter in Baltimore the last three seasons, but with the drafting of Edgar Maus, Quevado has seen his playing time cut drastically.
The 27-year-old, 5’11” point guard, averaged 10.7 points and 6.4 assists per game last season. He started 62 of the 63 games he played in, missing a month or so with a dislocated shoulder.
Chadwick is a better 3-point shooter, and a slightly better passer, but Quevado is better offensively overall. They are pretty even defensively, but Quevado is quicker and has more stamina.
He is making $111,822 for the next 3 seasons, so there is that factor. But Chadwick is looking for at least that much. Chadwick is younger though, so that comes into play as well.
For now, I will monitor Quevado and see how he is playing, how his attitude is, and consider pursuing him.
