Humanitarian Bowl
#17 Nevada (10-2, 6-1) vs Pitt (9-3, 4-3)

First Quarter

- We start this game adjusting to playing in the snow. Pitt is without Dion Lewis, one of the top RB's in the country, and it shows early as their run game is doing nothing.

- We move down the field led by Taua who is in pursuit of 2000 yards, but a holding penalty negates a TD run. We end up having to go for a FG but the weather is too nasty and Drake misses from 39.

Second Quarter

- The second quarter starts with us getting two sacks in a row, but then Sunseri finds Jonathan Baldwin for 44. They run a few plays for a first and then it's Baldwin again, this time for a 32 yard TD pass. Pitt 7-0.

- We trade possessions before Pitt mounts another good drive. It gets taken to the 1 where Hynoski rumbles in for the TD. Pitt 14-0.

- We get the ball back with 40 seconds and are able to hit Wimberely on a slant. He shakes a tackler and is off for a 61 yard TD! Pitt 14-7.

Third Quarter

- Pitt's first possession of the half is a huge one for us as Sunseri throws an errant pass that Louks picks off and takes the distance for a TD! 14-14.

- Pitt moves down the field and goes for a FG but our ST comes through with a huge block!

- We get the ball back and it's Wimberely again, this time with a 26 yard reception for the score. 21-14 Nevada.

Fourth Quarter

- We are holding on for dear life but with 50 seconds left Pitt culminates a long drive with a 1 yard pass to Cross. 21-21.

- We go risky on our final drive in regulation and move down the field to the 49 with 6 seconds left. We dial up the Hail Marry and wouldn't you know it but Wimberely comes down with it with no time left! Nevada 28-21!

Final Score

Nevada 28 - Pitt 21

Lantrip: 11/24 for 224, 3 TD - 1 INT
Taua: 21 carries for 101 yards
Wimberely: 5 catches for 183 yards, 3 TD
