We are listed as 7 point favorites at home against Washington State. Once again we are facing an opponent with very high rankings on both sides of the ball. WSU is #1 in offense and #7 on defense. We are 4th and 5th, respectively.

The Cougars have very high rankings for a team that is 2-2. They are not good losses either: 37-30 at home to Baylor and 31-27 at home to Northwestern. Of course, they proceeding to pistol-whip Stanford 53-10. But this is their first road game of the season. The capitalized on their strong season last year to land the #18 recruiting class in the nation. Their prestige jumped 3 points last year, up to 60.

Their QB, SO Eric Williams was a real recruiting coup. He was the #15 player in the nation coming out of high school. He jumped into the lineup immediately and has really blossomed this year: 15 TDs, 4 INTs, 177.4 rating. Our pass D is rated #8 in the nation so far. Probably heading down a bit after today.
