Shorter version that the original post, picking up from where this one left off:

Nugent and Wallace hook up a couple of times, closing in on field goal range.
Darden isn't settling for a field goal here, breaking off back to back big runs (18, 23) and putting his team in front 27-20 with 8 minutes to play.

J.R. Thomas with a runback out to the 47.
Nasty three and out, Brown is shut down.

Washington is bailed out again on a 3rd down penalty.
And again on 3rd down! Back-to-back, these are just killers.
Washington gets 5 on 3rd and 7, but they are whistled for holding. Accept or decline? Would they go for in on 4th and 2 with 3 1/2 left? Do we want them to go for it?
We decline, they go for it, and Darden is stuffed! UCLA ball at the Washington 40 after an unnecessary roughness penalty is assessed.

Holding call against us pushes it back to a 2nd and 26. At this point I was just beside myself at the penalties in the 2nd half.
Fazande gets most of it back on a 20 yard pass to Jackson.
Move the chains - 12 yards, Fazande to Brewer.
Again a 3rd down conversion - Moorehead 10 yards to TE Fortunado on a screen pass, down at the one.
Brewer catches a one year TD pass, but it comes back on a holding call. Now first and goal at the 11. 1:40 left in the game.
Moorehead to Brewer, 8 yards.
Moorehead to Brewer, 3 yards and a TD! 27-27, 1:03 left.

Kickoff coverage = teh suck. UW starts at the 49.
Defense comes up huge, forcing a 3 and out.

We get the ball with 0:33 left at our 20 and start using timeouts despite not moving the ball! We actually had to punt with 0:03 on the clock because of miserable clock management. But it is headed to OT.

1st OT:
Fazande with 3 straight completions, 2 to Brewer. Down to the 1.
Brown runs it in, 34-27.

Washinton ball, ILB Wilson records a sack on the first play, loss of 8!
Nugent gets 6 back on 2nd down, 3rd and 12.
27 yard pass, TD, Nugent to Turnbull. 34-34. Crap!!!

Defense forces a 4th and 13 after two runs and incompletion, and UW misses a 46 yard field goal. Just don't screw up, offense ...

Moorehead to Voight, 20 yards on first play.
Fazande to Brewer, 5 yards and game-winning TD! 40-34 is the final!
