Dunbar Heads the Rookie Class

Dave Dunbar moved to the head of the class today as the 23-year-old first baseman for
Leduc bagged the Continental League Rookie of the Month trophy for July.
Over that stretch
Dunbar batted .522 with 24 hits in 46 at-bats, collecting 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
To date this season
Dunbar is hitting .335 with 14 home runs.
Rookie Poole Named Best in July

The Republic League made the official announcement today. The Rookie of the Month award went to
Michael Poole of
Ann Arbor. He was named the best rookie in July.
Last month the 22-year-old Winged Lingerines first baseman played in 22 games and hit .337 with 6 doubles, no triples and 1 home run.
Poole also scored 15 times and drove in 6 runs.
This year
Poole has hit at a .287 pace and produced 34 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 59 runs.
