It is shitty to think about, especially since the odds are so slim, but it should at least be considered IMO.

Well we do both have decent life insurance, mostly due to our jobs. Of course we don't own a home. But I do have a good amount in my 401(k).

We probably need to spell out who gets the kid if something happens to us.. mostly because we don't want my wife's parents to get him.
