Congrats on the Europe finish! What a great season it turned out to be.
My advice for Euro play is not that you need to make your squad huge, there's limits on that after all, but that you need a squad where you're going to feel alright or good about playing the back-up player.
One thing I've done that might be useful for you is that I have a formation that I've been using for Away EPL games while I'm playing in Europe that utilizes some different positions than normal (for instance it has an AML and AMR which my standard formation doesn't) so that I'm playing to the strengths of some players who don't normally crack my starting lineup.
