I like dogs -- other peoples' dogs. For an animal that's going to be around me 24 hours per day, give me a cat anytime. Cats are great companionship for a little while each day, but then for 18-20 hours they're sleeping and stay the eff out of your hair. I love 'em. The lazy man's pet.
