(03:31) We're Number Three! Houston has clinched 3rd place in III.3. With an upcoming walkover, the Hippos will finish with no less than 26 points. However, even with a win against Clarion next week, the squad will still need help to catch the Taffurs for 1st

In the milestone department, three Hippos are closing in on the 200 match mark. Coach Mick Starks should reach it this season as he is at 195. Starting middie and former youth pull Thomas Little is at 182 while backup keeper and Houston legend Tim Kimber is at 172

(03:12) Welcome Back, Edwin! The Hippos are thrilled to announce that all time leading scorer Edwin Phelan has been bought back and will play one final season for Houston before entering the Hall of Fame

Houston has also collected three new flags this season, most recently from Blanicti Rytiri, the #1 team in Česká republika. Thanks to all of our hosts for their hospitality

Finally, the Hippos are in a fierce battle for #2 in III.3 after a heartbreaking draw with Jacksonville after leading most of the game last week

(05:03) Hippos Almost Halfway Home Houston finds themselves out of the cup as the loss of Quintin Staples was just too much against a strong S.A. United side.

So the Hippos will now turn their attention to the series race as well as the Hippo Friendly tour.

In series, after last week's stunning win against Jacksonville, Houston finds itself in 2nd, only 2 points behind Clarion Taffurs for the series lead.

For this week's friendly, the Hippos travel to Paraguay for a match with Tricolor de Corazón of División de Honor.

(01:58) Supportee Supports Supporting of Supporters Two supporters who have supported the Hippos since 2005 have secured supporter status since supporter slots spawned at season start.

"S" silliness aside, JAG's Vermont Blizzard and Maltby's Heaters join the ranks of Houston's mutually supported teams, which number 9. The Hippos have a total of 15 supporters and will mutually support them as soon as more slots open up.

(00:06) III.3 XXX As season 30 dawns, the Hippos are, as always, in a state of transition. The current generation of training draws nigh and uncertainty with the market betrays a solid growth plan.

This will be the first season since back in season 21, where the Hippos have a legitimate chance of not finishing in the top 4. Hard to imagine that a series without Havok would actually be harder but here we are.

That said, the Hippos, led by Coach Starks, are back and ready to battle again in III.3.
